The Brock Trail lies entirely within the linear park and road systems of the City of Brockville.  As such, the City owns the trail and is responsible for its general maintenance.

The Brock Trail Committee is an Ad Hoc Committee of Council formed in 2011 with the Mission to assist in the further development, enhancement and promotion of the trail.  This website is an example of the latter.  The Committee is composed of volunteer members who work in close contact with, and under the guidance of, City officials.  The Committee does fundraising for its work, and the City can provide receipts to donors for income tax purposes.
